PORTRAITURE

So I decided to feature my very talented friend Theo who is so enthusiastic about digital art. This is his piece in his own words…. (drumroll)
“….I’ve always been an Art lover as far as I can remember, sketching and doodling random (I say random but it was mostly Johnny bravo, lol) cartoon characters.  There’s a quote by Picasso that I refer to often, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” I probably wouldn’t be making art as often as I am now if I didn’t bump into digital art.

I was first exposed to digital art in December 2014 after I came across an illustrator by the name Jeff on Instagram. His work inspired me and I immediately fell in love with it and decided to give it a try (shoutout to YouTube for tutorials)

These are some of my most recent (and favorite pieces). All of them are printed on A3

krissi final

Krissi – This was supposed to be a commissioned artwork, but my face being on the picture too, I couldn’t get myself to charge her. This one is dear to me because of the memories it brings.

laura-final 1

Laura – commissioned pencil art. This was one of my most favourite pieces to work on mainly because I hadn’t done anything like it prior, and it turned out pretty well I think.

Niko – for a long while I had promised him artwork but I never got to do it, I finally came up with this awesome piece.

Ivan – my best friend’s nephew was turning one, It was only right to get him something unique that he’d keep around for a long time.

Tina – after wondering for a while on what gift to get her on her masters graduation, I realized something, you could never go wrong with artwork. So I made her a caricature.
