Bentonite Clay Review

September is finally here people! My favorite month. My skin is finally back on track from a horrid breakout in August (I think it was the stress and poor sleeping habits). My personal challenge to myself and all of you this month is to face each day with a positive attitude. Leave your house each morning after saying something amazing about yourself to yourself.

Now onto the essence of the post…. I invested in bentonite clay in July and begun using it religiously once every week. It’s really worth it since it’s a natural clay mask and it drains toxins from your skin leaving it refreshed. The pulsating feel can scare you at first but you get used to it because the wash off feel is so refreshing and soft. I’ll post my review of SheaByAsal natural handmade products soon hopefully. Also it works best with raw apple cider vinegar but my friend uses it with water and she says it’s equally effective.

How to use:

Mix a tablespoon or less of the bentonite clay with one tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar in a non-metallic bowl with a non-metallic utensil. This is important since the clay absorbs impurities such as toxins and heavy metals ingested or applied topically.

After making the mixture, apply it on your moist clean face for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. I usually do this before I shower because the clay is super muddy to be washed off in the sink.

Apply an essential oil if you like so your skin doesn’t stay dry. I usually apply grape-seed oil right after since it leaves a smooth feel to the skin.

Hope this was useful for your routine ladies. Its effect is not instant but with consistency you will see the results you expect. It can also be applied to your natural hair so you can give it a try as well.
